Are You Hung-Up On Page Rank And Back Links?:

Are You Hung-Up On Page Rank And Back Links?

Tony Simpson

It’s unfortunate that many website owners are so hung-up on Page Rank, they’ll rarely if ever, link to a site with a page rank lower than their own. I’m frequently approached by other website owners who it’s clear want to exchange links with one of my websites for no other reason than its Page Rank and so they can get more back links to their own website. That’s my experience with quite a few of my own websites. It’s not until you get around a Page Rank 4 do back links come without you having to go and find them. Back link requests tend to come more from sites with Low Page Rank wanting to improve search engine ranking by getting back links from higher ranking websites. They’re also frequently from websites that offer no relevant content to your visitors and are from totally unrelated areas.

Get motivated to create new AdSense content

Get motivated to create new AdSense content:

By: Jonathan Leger

If you’re new to AdSense, getting motivated to write original content can be difficult. Writing content takes time, and it also takes time to get the content advertised and get links into each page. If you still have a day job, it can be tough to make the time. One way to motivate yourself to create the content and get the links is to calculate how much you are earning per page per year. Multiply that times any number of pages and you will have a good idea of how much money you are missing out on by NOT creating content and getting links. Let’s take an example. Let’s say that you have 100 pages of content that are earning you $100 a month. That means that each page is making you, on average, $1 per month, or $12 per year. $12 per year may not sound like much, but let’s say that you created one unique article every 3 days and got a few links to that article with link exchanges, etc. 365 days in a year means that in one year you will have added and linked about 122 additional pages of content.

Search Engine Submissions That Boost Link Popularit

Search Engine Submissions That Boost Link Popularity! :

Lil Waldner

Submit to 10,000 Search Engines or Submit to over 200,000
Search Engines. This kind of ads should attract customers. It
looks great to submit to so many search engines. Submission
software is offered that helps to submit hundreds of websites
to hundreds of search engines during several hours. What is a
realistic, possible result of all these nice tools? The
achieved link popularity is near Zero, but the mail box is
filled by the autoresponders from the mass of FFA (Free for
all) search engines.

Which Search Engines count?

Only a few of the many search engines really count! 99,9 % of
all those who go on-line to find something use one of the 18
top search engines. Scrub The Web provides this information in
its member area. Yahoo, MSN Search and Google are the top
three search engines according to Alexa Ranking. Alta Vista and
AllTheWeb also famous search engines – belong to Yahoo and
are supplied by Yahoo.

If Link Popularity of a website is measured by the services
that provide this information, only the Link Popularity of a
website at Google, MSN, Yahoo, AllTheWeb, Alta Vista or Hot Bot
is displayed. This shows that only a few search engines really
count for Link Popularity. It is not necessary to submit to
thousands of search engines, but to the few important search
engines in the right way.

Reciprocal Link Exchange Getting The Killer Results

Reciprocal Link Exchange Getting The Killer Results:
Bill Smith

New businesses start out with a lot of vigor when it comes to website promotion. However, after a while, they tend to fall back and find it difficult to promote their website. This article details on how to tackle the reciprocal link exchange with ease.

Search for related websites: I use Arelis software to search the web for potential candidates. You can search based on your keyword(s) to find sites of interest. eg., if you run a business site, you can search for Business link exchange and pull the results from Arelis. Visit each site and make sure it has at least a PR or 4 or more. The higher the PR, the better your chances of being placed on a page which will have a decent PR. Remember it is the quality of links that matter, not quantity.

Request a link: Arelis can pull the email address from the sites. From within Arelis, it is easy to send a note to the webmaster requesting a link. Webmasters who agree for link exchange will either upload your link or send you their code. Promptly add their code to your link page and write back.

Reciprocal Link Building That Works

Reciprocal Link Building That Works:

We all know the value of getting links to our site. Links bring you traffic from related sites and boost your search engine rank, which brings you, umm, more traffic. So, basically, links = traffic. However, gone are the days of simply asking for a link (in exchange for a link from your site) and actually getting one.

These days, bland reciprocal link requests such as these almost never yield any benefit because they are simply ignored. Think about this old-school approach from the email recipients point of view to understand why your link requests are ignored. Webmasters of quality sites, the ones you want to get links from, are constantly dealing with link requests. 9 times out of 10 the webmaster simply sees Link Exchange and deletes the email. I know I do. I have more important things to do than to entertain requests that are most likely for sites that are not even relevant to mine.

UNDERSTANDING THE VALUE OF INBOUND LINKS ON YOUR WEBSITE

Besides search engines, the next most common way people move from one website to another is through links on other sites. The reason that the Internet is often referred to a the “Web” is because it exists so much as a web of links running from one site to another in a maze more complex than the spider web from which it is named.

GETTING YOUR LINKS ON OTHER SITES

If you submit your site to search engines, provided you get good results on the keywords being searched for, you will get good results.

If you write articles that will be published by ezine
publishers and webmasters, then the externally placed links
to your website through your resource box can be very
profitable. The resource box is an “about the author”
paragraph, that you will attach at the end of your article.

Links From Web Rings:

 Henry James

As internet linking proliferates with multitude user database, the concept of web rings has gradually evolved. Basically a web ring refers to a group of sites which have identical content and subject matter. These sites are linked together to form a navigational ring. The basic concept behind web rings is that the visitors can navigate from one site to another for more information on identical subjects. This makes the task easier for a visitor who is trying to gather information regarding a specific subject. Web rings contain a lot of links on similar topics. Some of the famous topics are cultures, business, finance, religion and much more. If you want to create your link on one of the web rings, you would have to go through a simple registration process. The registration involves submitting of your URL, your name, your website description and your email address. Then you would have to choose a web ring login name and a password. After confirming all these things, you would submit them to the main web ring site.
